Random generated branching
Posted: Nov 18, 2009 6:07 PM

Hi, I am building a survey to test three treatments from 1 of the 8 sets of questions. The participants is given one set of the questions randomly selected from the 8 sets of question. We do not want the participants know what he was given yet the selection is part of the analysis therefore the set number has to be recorded.

I am wondering if there is any other users run into this situation and what is the solution.

I think you have to create a simple plugin for that. You can have a plugin that populates the first question, and based on the response to the first question, you use conditional branching to filter or include questions.

Or, you can give each respondent a unique URL using prepopulation (so that the first question is automatically responded to), in conjunction with conditional branching and filters.
