safer passwords
Posted: Aug 14, 2009 1:40 PM

I want to send survey link, individual ID and individual password seperate to some recipients and not as complete link. I think, there is no possibility in opinio to do that. So I want to send invitations to me and extrakt the IDs and passwords from the generated links.

Is there a possibility to generate safer/longer passwords in invitations? The generated passwords are 4 charakters long and I want passwords with 8 or more charakters. Or can I edit a generated password of an invitee in some way?

Yes, you can separate the ID and KEY. We use this more often than the full link.

1. Set up a survey set to limit access via invitation.
2. Create invitee list of survey respondents.
3. Create survey invite but instead of using the coded link (http://survey/opinio/s?s=102&i=[ID]&k=[KEY]&ro=[REOPEN]) replace with the generic survey link (http://survey/opinio/s?s=6) as displayed on the main survey page. But also quoting:
Your ID is: [ID]
Your survey key is: [KEY]
4. Respondents who click on the link would then be presented with the screen asking for them to enter their ID and KEY to gain access to the survey.

There is also a plug-in available "Execute Select plugin" that allows you to generate a list of the IDs and passwords for all invitees to a particular survey.
