Respondents sending multiple submissions.

I am running the latest version of Opinio (6.0.5) and I was trying to create an anonymous survey in which respondents could only answer once. However, we discovered that there is an easy way to vote multiple times.

First, here is the way it was set up:

Password assigned by invitations was selected
Full anonymity was selected
Allow multiple submissions - No
Check type (we have tried both thorough check and general check)
Prevent with - invitiations

The survey is only one page long. If you complete the survey, you can only vote once. However, if you open multiple copies of the survey in different browser windows or tabs without completing the survey, you can have multiple copies of the survey open with the same invitee ID and same password. Then, with all the copies open, you can vote multiple times with all the surveys that you have opened. You have to open up all the windows for all the votes you want to do before you start voting though. But still, we don't want people to be able to vote multiple times (as is the case). What can be done to stop this or is this a problem with the software? We have tried many things to prevent this.

Thanks
- Tyler

Just as a bit of additional information. The problem seems to be arising from selecting 'Save responses on every page'. If we select save on completion and the general check, it seems to work, but we would like to be able to save responses on every page while still preventing multiple submissions. There seems to be a problem with the saving on every page with anonymity. Thanks!

Thank you for your report. There is currently nothing that can be done in order to restring multiple submissions when using "save responses on every page". We will try to fix it for one of the future versions.

Hi,

Has this issue been resolved and/or is there an expected release when it will be addressed? We have a multi-page anonymous survey underway now and since we want to save incomplete responses we need to save on every page and we are concerned with this loop-hole in the security aparatus ...

Thanks,
