Using -noip and -card option with autostart
Posted: Dec 20, 2004 8:30 PM

We recently set up Network Probe to work on one of our servers. It is configured on a second NIC card and I'd like to run the program in "noip" mode, because I disabled TCP/IP on that NIC to keep the server from trying to use it.

Is there a way to configure Network Probe to run in this mode as a service (pass arguments to the probesvc.exe)? If not, can it be set to run non-interactively? I've been using the command line:

java -jar Probe.jar -noip -card 2

...but it always asks for a network interface. Does the -card option work when in "noip" mode?

OS: Windows Server 2003
Probe Version: 1.1.2

Thanks for your help,

Eivind Pedersen

The "-noip -card x" option cannot be used non-interactively on Windows, only on *NIX platforms. We'll put it on our todo list, and it might be supported in the next version.
