Log Data

I have an issue looking at the logged data on the Netprobe. When I open a logfile (3 hours of data on a 8M link) my local CPU spikes to 100%. I have a P3 with 512M of RAM for my local machine and 3Ghz cpu with 1Gig of RAM for the server. I can not get any useful information from the log files.
The live file is accessible with no issues.
I have the newer version of the Netprobe software for larger environments.
Thanks.

If you are using the Microsoft VM, try changing to the Sun Java VM at http://www.java.com.

Are you getting any error messages in the java console?

Thanks for the information. Actually I am getting an error in the console.

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

Can I configure something on my local machine to get around this?

This is very funny because I do not have this pb with java sun console ...

I run Win2000 ...

Perhaps we need to see the console of java to find something.

But I can say that after some minutes under WinXP, I full my memory ... and swap !!! so 512MB of memory and 700MB of swap !

I do not have this pb under Win2000 ... Very strange no ?
