Database overload with delete statements

We are running Opinio Enterprise 6.0.8 with Oracle 10G on the backend and are having intermittent performance problems on the database side. When we do, we see high numbers of connection which appear to be running the following query: "DELETE FROM ops_reportrespondent". What initiates these queries? Has anyone else ran into this situation?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

This is related to report filters. If you have high-load surveys, you should create your reports containing filters after respondents have completed the survey. This is because Opinio updates report filters as respondents answer the surveys.

We will look into this, and possibly find ways to optimize. Perhaps by recalculate filters before viewing the report (this would slow down creation of the reports, however).

I must admit that we have never utilized the save and return feature for the reasons outlined already stated in this thread. It is much easier just to refer people to the original link which will take them back to the last saved page. Also, in the case of a misplaced or lost link, the resend option provides a perfect solution.
We would not be interested in any solution that involved altering the users browser in any way so this probably rules out the use of cookies or bookmarks.
As an option to enable people to obtain their log-in details automatically, would it be possible to add some kind of password recovery system. The invitation would contain all of the valid email addresses of the invitees so it would be nice for people to be able to enter the survey name and their email address and have their log-in details automatically sent to their inbox.
