Questions about Interval Duration and Interval time.

Not sure I completely understand this. Interval duration is the length of time between resets for the data line graphs? Interval time is how often the probe takes a reading?

So if I have a 12 hr interval and a 15 minute interval time, the line graph will reset itself every 12 hours and will take readings every 15 minutes?

What are good settings to use for this? I have a network of about 275 devices.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You are right about the interval settings. Less interval time consumes more memory. We recommend the default setting.

In the next beta the interval data is stored to disk instead of memory, so look forward to this.

Cool. So if the interval data is going to be stored on disk that means I can set up very low interval time without taking a memory performance hit. I guess the only catch will be having adequate disk space.

You also need to take into account the memory on the client. All the interval data is loaded into the client applet to quickly display the chart when scrolling the table.
