Hello,

I'm attempting to run netprobe in a chrooted environment along with other webservices already working.
the logs return " could not get valid local IP address". the webservice is accessible but will not respond correctly ( Main tab does not load).
I have done straces() on Probe.jar but I am unable to find where the app is trying to fetch the IP information from.

For anyone that stumbles on the same problem; in my case the issue was caused because I did not have the server's hostname added in the /etc/hosts file for my linux box:
127.0.0.1 localhost <your server hostname\computername>

Please mind that this update will generate a new Host ID and require you to contact objectplanet for a new key.

best of luck.
